Q: What do you still want/need to know?
A: I would like to know how dams are constructed because I think it would be hard to construct a wall that blocks the flow of large bodies of water while the water is still flowing.
Q: What is your current level of interest?
A: On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being super uninterested and 10 being super interested, I would say that my current level of interest is around a 4. To be honest, I am not super interested in hydroelectricity. However, I am a lot more fascinated than I thought I would be due to hydroelectricity's huge significance in Washington State.
Q: What is the most important or surprising thing that you learned?
A: The most surprising thing that I learned was that the Grand Coulee Dam, which is located in WASHINGTON, is one of the largest dams in the world. Another thing that was surprising was that the state of WASHINGTON uses the most hydropower in the U.S. I never realized that hydroelectricity was such a major part of this state.
Q: If you did this again, what would you do the same and what would you change?
A: If I did this again, I think I would choose the same form of energy(hydroelectricity) because I was able to find lots of good resources and information about the topic, and it really relates to Washington State. I would also make the same product(website) because it really helped me organize and neatly format my work. One thing that I would change is the fact that I did this project alone. It was a lot more work than I thought and was very time-consuming. This project would have been a lot easier if I did it with at least one more person.
